The annual Craft Show has been and gone, and as always it was a very successful event. There were thousands of people going past the stand over the three days, and we saw lots of interest in our courses.
The main questions are, 'do you run courses?', and 'do you repair old books?'. We are getting more and more organised and better prepared. We distributed fifty brochures to people who looked like they were genuinely interested in membership, took about 35 names for courses, and handed out about sixty business cards for book repairs.
Oh, and sold one leather bound notebook.
Lots of people were interested in David's leather bound medieval style book, and many were fascinated by the press and plough. Some just wanted to talk, and others were or had been bookbinders. We should now have plenty of customers for the beginners course, and would hope to get a few done in the rest of the year.
